Rum Point - A Great Place For Families
in the Cayman Islands
Families and groups with more than 20 people should consider visiting Rum Point in the Cayman Islands. There is something of fun for everyone and it is a great place for a
really awesome picnic
If you are planning a family or group vacation consisting of 20 or more people,
Rum Point in the Cayman Islands is a great place to go. It is a nice area for your family because it offers something fun for all ages. Your family will have a great time spending a full day in
Rum Point, so you will not have to worry about someone getting bored.
Groups with 20 or more people need to visit a place that is quiet, because if they go somewhere filled with people playing loud music, everyone will have a tough time communicating clearly. Communication is important during a large family vacation, because once you get to the beach; you want the kids to hear you when you tell them to stay away from the water unless an adult is with them.
Rum Point is generally a quiet place before and after spring break, so you will be able to tell everyone the rules, and when it is time for lunch.
Rum Point’s food options are very limited; there is only one food vendor in the area, and your family may not eat what is sold there. A good way to solve this problem is to pack a picnic for everyone in the family. It will be a lot of work, but it is worth it because you will not have to spend a lot of money feeding many people.

It is a good idea to ask everyone what there favorite food or snack is before you leave the hotel, this way you can visit a local
Cayman Islands grocery store and pack those items so everyone will enjoy their lunch. Your picnic will be awesome, because Rum Point has many spots that provide shade, so you do not have to worry about getting sunburned or packing umbrellas.
The activities available at Rum Point should keep everyone happy no matter what age they are. Mothers and grandmothers will enjoy shopping at the local gift shop. It is quite fun just browsing around, but if you want to shop, there are quite a few items that are worth buying as souvenirs.
Fathers and grandfathers will probably spend there time on the available hammocks relaxing while listening to the ocean waves. Teenagers will love the Jet Ski rental shop called Red Sail Sport; after they rent a jet ski, they will have a blast driving it around in the ocean. For the kids, there is a local macaw on display and they can watch it and try to talk to it, and if they get tired of doing that, they can always play on the beach. To increase the fun for the kids, you can bring along a few beach toys such as a Frisbee or a kite. Kids particularly like the designer stylish kites, and if you plan your trip on a windy day, they will have a great time flying it.
Rum Point is a great place to bring your family because it has something for everyone.
