Buying Souvenirs in the Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands have many types of stores that sell nice souvenirs. Almost anything makes a good gift there; however; tourists love to buy one particular souvenir repeatedly

When tourists take a vacation, they generally always buy a souvenir for friends and family back home. Depending on a tourist's vacation spot, it is sometimes tough to find a good item for everyone. Georgetown in the Cayman Islands is a great souvenir-shopping place, so tourists generally stop there when they need souvenirs. There are so many cool items that you can buy in Georgetown; one of the most purchased items is the Rum cakes.

The Cayman Islands are known for rum products, so it makes sense to buy some Rum Cakes while you are there. Rum Cakes make great souvenirs; however, many tourists do not buy them to take home. You should definitely buy a package of Rum Cakes for someone you know; they will not go bad during your trip home. Rums Cakes can stay fresh up to 5 months, and they will still taste good. Buy a few for all of your friends and family because they will really appreciate this gift. In fact, the Rum cakes are so good that your friends and family will always ask you when you are going to go back so you can buy more. Rum cakes, however, are only excellent souvenirs for someone else; they do not make a good souvenir for you. The bad thing about rum cakes is that after you eat them, they are gone. You will not have anything to look at to remind you of your vacation, and the wrapper is not worth saving. If you want something more memorable, you should definitely visit the Pure Art shop in Georgetown.

Art makes are cool souvenir for yourself and someone else as well; Pure Art has many types of art available at great prices. When you get to the store, take your time and look at each piece of art carefully. Every piece is worth buying, but pay attention to the pieces behind the cashier if you are on a budget. Most of the art behind the counter is priced at $10; buying the art from this area is a nice way to save some cash. If for some reason you cannot find something worth buying at Pure Art, you can checkout some jewelry instead.

The Cayman Islands are known for jewelry too; most of the jewelry is inexpensive in Georgetown. If you shop around in the right places, you might find something cheap worth buying. Although the jewelry is inexpensive, not every piece will be within your vacation budget. You will still need a decent amount of money if you plan to shop for nice jewelry in Georgetown. If you decide to buy someone a piece of jewelry as a souvenir, that person will love it a lot.

Buying a souvenir in the Cayman Islands is not difficult to do because most of the stores sell nice items. Georgetown is by far the best area to shop; rum cakes, art, and jewelry make excellent souvenirs. If money is not an issue for you, jewelry is the way to go. If you are on a budget, you should consider purchasing some $10 art or rum cakes instead.
